A great final in the Fan Zone: A total of 703,000 visitors enjoyed a wonderful festival of football

What a grand finale: On the final weekend of the Fan Zone, 48,000 visitors came to the Olympic Park to celebrate the end of UEFA EURO 2024. 703,000 fans came to Munich's biggest football festival from 14 June to 14 July.

Antenne Bayern organised the big summer open air event on Saturday at Hans-Jochen-Vogel-Platz. The programme included concerts by Iggi Kelly, Welshly Arms and DJ duo Fast Boys.

On Sunday, the Fan Zone filled up one last time for the big public viewing of the Euro 2008 final between England and Spain. The Bavarian Police Orchestra, Afro Buzz and cult band Münchener Freiheit were among the acts on the lakeside stage to get the fans fired up before kick-off. At the end of the evening, a colourful fireworks display crowned Spain's European Championship victory and an unforgettable few days at the Olympic Park Fan Zone.

'We are delighted with the great response from fans from Munich and Europe. We have clearly succeeded in inspiring the visitors and offering them a great programme in the spirit of the EURO,' said a delighted Marion Schöne, Managing Director of Olympiapark München GmbH (OMG).

Since 14 June, 653,000 visitors have been celebrating a big, joyful and peaceful football festival in the Fan Zone of the Olympic Park. Fans from all over Europe came together in Munich's most beautiful 'football park' to watch their teams play, cheer on their stars and enjoy the great supporting programme with its many highlights.

30,000 visitors defy thunderstorms and rain at Olympic Park

It was a midsummer night's dream for true fans, but instead of the best weather and 35 degrees like last year, thunderstorms and downpours marred the start of Munich's popular cultural event. Despite this, 30,000 people made their way to the Olympic Park to see headliners Nico Santos, co-headliner Stefanie Heinzmann and young German pop singer MELE on the main stage, as well as HyTop Soundsystem, Kid Simius and Erobique & Florence Adooni on the peninsula stage. Finally, a 33-minute fireworks display under the theme 'Rhythm of the Stars' provided goose bumps.
