Allianz Arena München

For two decades, the stadium has been the home of football - whether for FC Bayern matches, international matches of the national team or major tournaments such as the World Cup and European Championships. However, when the Olympic Stadium has to close for renovation work from autumn 2025 to spring 2027, it will also be home to major music stars. During this time, the Allianz Arena will become an alternative venue for big and great open-air concerts.

So far, the world stars of football have played here - top music acts will now follow between 2025 and 2027

When football moved from the Olympic Park to Fröttmaning in 2005, the division of roles was clearly defined. The new stadium in the north of Munich was to be a pure football arena, but open-air concerts would continue to be held under the tent roof. However, due to the closure of the Olympic Stadium between autumn 2025 and spring 2027 for renovation work, an exception has now come into force. The Olympic Park Company and Stadion GmbH of the Allianz Arena have agreed on a cooperation for the period of the renovation. This means that from 2025 to 2027, the arena designed by star architects Herzog & de Meuron will be the venue for the open-air concerts that would otherwise have taken place in the Olympic Stadium. For example, Helene Fischer will perform in the Allianz Arena on 17 July 2026, with a spectacular 360-degree stage in the middle of the pitch. Once the refurbishment and modernisation is complete, the open-air events will return to their old home at the Olympic Stadium.
