With eight Grammys, four American Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, honours are pretty routine for these legends of soul.

 

Yet every honour is a happy occasion, especially when there’s a handful of selected fans around to create the perfect atmosphere. Although the handprints were made barely an hour before the start of the concert, Earth, Wind and Fire too plenty of time after the ceremony to chat, sign countless autographs and have their photos taken with their fans.

 

Once the three motown soul legends were back in their dressing rooms, the excited fans even wanted to take the water that the music stars had used to wash their hands in before and after the imprints were made. The water could be filled into bottles and auctioned off on eBay. Of course, the MOWOS crew made sure there was no commerce for this particular type of fanmobilia.
