An Olympic birthday bash with over 90000 guests

“Emotions x Fun + Team Spirit x Diversity²” – this formula for the Olympic Park's birthday celebration equalled the perfect party. Even though the weather didn't quite cooperate, with rain showers rolling in throughout the evening, over 90,000 guests made their way to the Olympic Park to celebrate a birthday party that was packed with highlights right up to the closing fireworks at 10 p.m.   “It was a fantastic day and I am proud and pleased that so many visitors were here to celebrate the Park's 40th birthday with us and our partners,” Olympic Park Director Ralph Huber said of the successful event. 125 attractions and some 90 hands-on activities from over 80 of the Park's partners made the anniversary festival that spanned the entire Olympic Park on 26 August 2012 a birthday celebration of truly Olympic proportions. The anniversary festival was drawn to a crowning close with an array of glittering fireworks.
