European Championship public viewing at the Olympic Stadium

Ticket pre-sales to see the European Championships on the big screen have begun – the football party continues! When it comes to public viewing for a big-time football event, there's really only one venue in Munich: the Olympic Stadium. And that will be the case not only this coming weekend when the Champions League Final takes place, but also in June for the UEFA European Championships in Poland and the Ukraine. Just as in 2006, 2008, 2010 and at the Champions League Final on May 19, Munich will meet once again for a mass football viewing experience at the Olympic Park. The programme includes Germany's first-round games versus Portugal on 9 June, the Netherlands on 13 June and Denmark on 17 June. Viewings for the quarter- and semi-finals as well as for the final are also planned – if Germany is involved. Ticket pre-sales to see the European Championships on the big screen have already begun. With the exception of the Germany's first round match versus Portugal, the big screen will be located in the centre of the stadium's pitch, so fans will be able to celebrate not only under the roof of the main stand, but in the arena as well. This allows for a capacity of up to 35,000 people. The opening first-round match on 9 June will be the only exception, with the big screen being stationed in front of the main stand due to the 24-hour Munich race 2012 being held on the same day. There will be no interior seating that day. Radio Arabella will once again be setting the right atmosphere for all the games. Pre-match reporting will be turned on approximately one hour prior to the start of the match. Admission for public viewing costs €4 (6-14 years, children under 6 years free) or €6 (adults).
