There's no show without them: the summer festival classics. The street of market stalls once again offers its irresistible invitation to browse and shop, and of course the Munich showmen, with their stands and fairground rides, will be eager to entertain you at the festival in the Olympiapark. Gourmet alley, as always, offers a wealth of different culinary delights from all over the world. On the 10th and 24th of August, the skies over the Olympiapark will explode with a splendid firework display, and on Tuesdays (8th/15th/22nd of August), the youngest summer festival-goers will be able to enjoy the showmen's giant kid's days! New this year is the "ISLE OF SPORTS". One of the attractions of the "Isle of Sports" is the wakeboarding installation on the Olympic Lake. It will be custom-controlled for each participant, and guarantees fun and success for everyone, from beginners to pros! Stand-up paddling, or SUP, is also available to try out. Whether it be a relaxed canoe trip on the Olympic Lake or active training for strength, balance and coordination at SUP yoga and SUP fitness, there's something for everyone. The water park elements, such as the Supervolley, an inflatable volleyball pitch comprising 2 trampolines and a net floating on the lake, promises a particularly high fun factor. A mixture of all of these activities is incorporated into the "Balance Kids" holiday sports programme for children aged 8 - 14 years. For anyone who is not keen on going on water, there's cross-fit functional training, whole-body training on the surrounding hills, steps and fields of the Olympiapark. The Olympic Lake and the architectural ensemble of the Olympiapark provide a breath-taking backdrop for the new Italian CAPRI beach bar, bringing "La Dolce Vita" into the heart of the summer festival - in terms of look, activities and food! Music at the summer festival
There's going to be plenty of music from the 3rd to the 27th of August with the live concerts in the Theatron MusikSommer. Every day from 7 p.m., bands from various genres will be playing here - and admission is free. You can find the full line-up at www.theatron.net. And there's even more joy for the ears during the summer festival in the beer garden, including the Easy Licks, Rodscha aus Kamodscha and Tom Palme, MichItrio, The Pure, 2erbeziehung and Saitenstechen.
