Stars of rock and pop and Munichs biggest firework show

The Munich Midsummer Night's Dream 2015! Punk rock legend BILLY IDOL, Irish singer REA GARVEY, acclaimed German rock band REVOLVERHELD and high-flier GREGOR MEYLE: all of them appeared on stage on the 25th of July at the 11th Munich Midsummer Night's Dream 2015 in the Olympic Stadium. The concerts were again followed with a top-class pyrotechnic show accompanied by music. BILLY IDOL, who shaped the world of music in the 1980s and 1990s with classics such as “Rebel Yell”, “White Wedding” and “Cradle of Love”, celebrated an amazing comeback in 2014 with his album “Kings and Queens of the Underground”. At the Olympic Stadium, the British rock rebel sang his new songs and his biggest hits. REA GARVEY is one of the most successful artists in Germany. His album “Can’t Stand the Silence” has gone platinum. On 25th July, the judge on “The Voice of Germany” launched his latest album entitled “Pride”. REVOLVERHELD are currently storming up the charts and filling concert venues. With their successful singles, “Halt dich an mir fest” and “Lass uns gehen”, their music is hugely popular among their fans. GREGOR MEYLE became famous through the TV show “Sing meinen Song - das Tauschkonzert” (VOX). His colleague Xavier Naidoo calls the charismatic singer-songwriter “one of the greatest discoveries of the last decade.” The music on stage at the Coubertinplatz is very much inspired by 30 years of Radio Gong 96.3. After the concerts, the Munich sky above the Olympiapark will be once again transformed into a sparkling sea of colour: a 35-minute, truly dynamic and colourful firework spectacular featuring four tonnes of fireworks and more than 12,000 effects lit using 2000 launch tubes will be beautifully coordinated with the musical background. With this year's motto of “Dynamic Colours”, it provides the perfect crowning finale. Tickets for the perfect blend of music festival and spectacular fireworks cost Euro 19 to Euro 65.
