In addition to phenomenal music, visitors can once again expect a variety of experiences away from the main stages, including podcasts, readings, talks and performances.
A musical line-up full of newcomers and superstars
Numerous acts such as the exceptional British talent Sam Smith, ex-One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, the US future bass duo THE CHAINSMOKERS and the German rappers CRO and RIN were announced at the end of last year.
Numerous other national and international superstars and newcomers are now joining the SUPERBLOOM line-up for September. Star DJ Calvin Harris, who was already part of the line-up at the SUPERBLOOM premiere, is returning to the festival stage in Munich as one of the main acts. West African musician Burna Boy, who rose to international fame six years ago, will get the crowd shaking with his Afrobeats. Successful rapper Shirin David and British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith, who achieved her breakthrough in 2016 with her song 'Blue Lights', are two of the hottest singers of the moment. Swedish singer Loreen, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku in 2012 with her song "Euphoria" and again in Liverpool in 2023 with the song "Tattoo", will also enchant visitors. While 26-year-old indie pop singer Chappell Roan and folktronica band Milky Chance will get your hips moving with their electronic beats, singers Natalie Jane and Kenya Grace will create more emotional moments at SUPERBLOOM. The Berlin duo Twocolors with their hits such as "Cynical" and the artist Tream will be spreading a party atmosphere. Other confirmed acts for SUPERBLOOM 2024 are the German artists Domiziana, Levin Liam, Berq, Zimmer90, Paula Carolina and Kasi, the bands Thee Sacred Souls and Glass Beams as well as the Dutch rapper and "Friesenjung" JOOST, who will be performing at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. As the grand finale, OneRepublic rock the Olympic Stadium. Reminisce to long-running favourites such as "Apologize" or "If I Lose Myself", party to mega-hits like "Counting Stars" or turn night into day with the official European Championship song "Fire".
Podcasts and readings for the first time
SUPERBLOOM is much more than just a music festival. In addition to the musical highlights, readings by renowned authors will also take place for the first time this year, including journalist and author Ilona Hartmann. The 34-year-old, who became known for her brief observations on current affairs on Twitter, won over many German critics with her novel "Klarkommen". Author Phia Quantius will also be reading from her biography "Bombenkopf", in which she talks about her life with a particularly severe form of migraine that disrupts her everyday life several times a month. This year, two crime podcasts are represented at SUPERBLOOM. While journalists Leonie Bartsch & Linn Schütze talk about true crime cases in "Mord auf Ex", the Bayern 3 True Crime Podcast is all about "Tödliche Liebe". With Galerie Arschgeweih, the podcast of the biggest German-language 2000s meme page, the presenters take us back to the noughties and the things that moved us back then.
Furthermore, numerous experience areas guarantee exciting adventures and unforgettable experiences for young and old. Throughout the Olympic Park, there are opportunities to explore new things, marvel at performances and play an active role in shaping things. Further Experience areas and their contents will be announced shortly.
