Card payment only in the Olympic Hall
On 31 July 1996, exactly 41 days after the start of summer, the two high school students Deryck Whibley and Steve Jocz founded the band Sum 41. The line-up changed repeatedly in the first few years, with only singer, keyboardist and guitarist Whibley remaining on board to this day. The Canadians celebrated their breakthrough in 2001 with their debut album "All Killer, No Filler", which went platinum in the USA, Canada and the UK and from which the first big hit single "Fat Lip" was released. After six more albums and more than 15 million sales in total, Sum 41 released their final work in March 2024: the double album "Heaven :x: Hell". If the heavenly part with its ten tracks is dedicated entirely to pop-punk, gloriously heavy metal roars up from hell.
According to Whibley and his bandmates, the work is the pinnacle of their creative artistry - and a worthy conclusion to their career as a band. "After listening to the music, I knew: this is the album I want to finish with," says Whibley, "now is the right time." The finale will be celebrated in style with a massive farewell tour, during which Sum 41 will also rock the Olympic Hall one last time.
