Whether ‘Roxanne’, ‘Message In A Bottle’ or ‘Every Breath You Take’ with The Police. Whether ‘Fragile’, ‘Fields of Gold’ or ‘Englishman in New York’: Sting wrote and sang world hits for eternity. With 17 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, four Oscar nominations and more than 100 million albums sold, he is one of the most successful artists in pop history. In addition, Gordon Matthew Sumner, as he was born, has always been an activist for social projects and aid organisations, whether for Live Aid, Amnesty International or the Rainforest Fund.
After many musically diverse stages in his career, from acoustic pop and wave rock to jazz and folk, the singer and songwriter is now opening a new chapter. With guitarist Dominic Miller, who has been part of the permanent ensemble since the recording of the successful album ‘The Soul Cages’ in 1991, and Luxembourg drummer Chris Maas, who has already played drums for Mumford & Sons, Sting will also be making a guest appearance in the Olympic Hall as the power trio ‘Sting 3.0’ on his tour in autumn 2025 - with new songs such as the rock ballad ‘I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart)’, released in September 2024, and of course the great old classics.
