In 1999, the two mates Vincent and Dag founded their band ‘Stonedeafproduction’, or SDP for short. They landed their first big hit in 2010 with ‘Ne Leiche’ from the album ‘Kontrastprogramm’. From then on, things went uphill. In 2012, they entered the charts for the first time with their fifth studio album ‘Die bekannteste unbekannte Band der Welt’ - and were definitely no longer unknown after that. Their following album ‘Bunte Rapublik Deutschpunk’ from 2014 not only became the band's first top five longplayer - the title also symbolised their musical style: a genre crossover between pop and rock, dance and hip-hop, soft guitar sounds and fast synthesiser sounds. After the number 2 albums ‘Zurück in die Zukunst’ (2015) and ‘Die bunte Seite der Macht’ (2017), SDP finally conquered the top position in the album charts with ‘Die unendlichste Geschichte’ (2019) and ‘Ein gutes schlechtes Vorbild’ (2022).
After winning the 1LIVE Krone as the best live act in 2022, their open-air anniversary tour in 2024 and the release of their album ‘Best of 25 Years of SDP’, the duo will hit the road again in autumn 2025. Their ‘Die wollen nur spielen’ tour will also take them to the Olympic Hall on 7 November.
