Rainhard Fendrich - 45 years live

Nur ein Wimpernschlag - Tournee 2025

Olympic Hall

"Wien bei Nacht" and "Macho Macho", "Es lebe der Sport" and "Weus'd a Herz hast wia a Bergwerk" - just some of the songs with which Rainhard Fendrich wrote unforgettable Austro-pop anthems. Shortly after his 70th birthday and just in time for his 45th stage anniversary, the Viennese singer-songwriter will return to the Olympic Hall on 16 April 2025. With old hits and songs from his new album "Wimpernschlag".

Fendrich made his stage debut in 1980, at that time still as an actor at the Theater an der Wien. He celebrated his breakthrough in 1981 with his album "Und alles ist ganz anders word'n" and the single "Strada del Sole", which became the summer hit of the year in Austria. After that, one hit followed the next. Whether it was "Schickeria" or "Oben ohne", Fendrich was the shooting star of Austro Pop. In contrast to other chart toppers of the 1980s, the singer-songwriter established himself over the decades as an absolute top star of the German-language music scene.

After "Nix is fix" (1991), he placed each of his subsequent studio albums at number 1 in the Austrian charts - most recently the live album "Symphonisch in Schönbrunn" also reached the top position in 2024. A good six years after his last studio album to date, "Starkregen", Fendrich is going on tour again after the release of his longplayer "Wimpernschlag" in 2025. With new songs that, as always, are characterised by catchy melodies, thoughtful, profound and always humorous lyrics. The audience can look forward to new songs and old hits on 16 April 2025 - a very personal retrospective of a musical legend.
