They know their way around the Olympic Hall. Hartmut Engler and his boys performed here for the first time in 1996. Now the band from Bietigheim-Bissingen in Swabia is on stage here for the eleventh time. PUR has many old songs and, of course, new songs from their 17th studio album "Persönlich", which was released in November 2022 and immediately reached No. 3 in the German album charts, thus continuing an impressive series. Since "Seiltänzertraum" in 1993, each of the following ten longplayers has reached the Top 3 of the ranking, seven albums even conquered the top position.
With this sometimes thoughtful, sometimes exuberant, but consistently intense album, PUR now continues the impressive band history. For Hartmut Engler, the new songs as well as the open-air concerts have solved a writer's blockade that had plunged him into a deep crisis of meaning during the pandemic. Now the Pur frontman can perform again in a liberated and joyful way, as in his song "Voll sein" with the lines: "Ich will voll sein. To be wonderful. Full of joy, full of love. Full to the top with heart." Surely the Olympic Hall will be full too. On 19 April 2023 for Pur.
