Pietro Lombardi

Actually, he had dreamed of a career as a professional footballer. In his childhood and youth, he played for his favourite club, Karlsruher SC, in his hometown. But after a fractured tibia and fibula at the age of 16, the dream was shattered. So he discovered music and singing for himself, uploaded his first song "Grüne Augen" (Green Eyes) on YouTube - and celebrated sensational success on DSDS when he won the contest in 2011. The winning song "Call My Name" as well as the debut album "Jackpot" reached platinum status and stormed to No. 1 in the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In summer 2017, he again secured the top position in the charts as a duo with Kay One and "Senorita", and in 2018 - then solo again - with "Phänomenal". His album "Lombardi", released in March 2020, was also a mega-success, with the singles "Nur ein Tanz", "Bella Donna", "Macarena" and "Cinderella" all reaching the Top 5 in the charts. Lombardi has been a favourite judge on DSDS in recent years, including the presumably final season of the casting show in 2023.
