Nizar & Shayan

Their shows are among the most successful podcasts in Germany: since summer 2019, Nizar & Shayan have been delighting an ever-growing audience with their streaming programme "Die Deutschen". In their shows, they take a satirical stance on current issues and deliver audio comedy that is often politically incorrect but very funny for their fans. The duo will be performing live in the Olympic Hall on 27 November 2024.

Born in Bonn in 1984 to Tunisian parents, Nizar Akremi was already interested in US stand-up comedy in his youth. However, he only began his own comedy career as a late starter in his early 30s, when he and a friend uploaded a video entitled "Questions the world doesn't need" to Facebook and YouTube. Inspired by Eddie Murphy and Jim Carrey, Otto Waalkes and Stefan Raab, he made his first TV appearance in 2018 on the Sat.1 show "Richtig witzig". 

Nizar proved his qualities as a comedian in numerous other TV programmes such as "Night Wash" and the "Quatsch Comedy Club". In 2019, he founded his own podcast with his buddy Shayan Garcia, which has been captivating an ever-growing fan base since 2020 under the title "Die Deutschen". Their performance in Frankfurt in October 2023 impressively demonstrated that the pair's wit not only works in the recording studio, but also as a live show on stage in front of a large audience. Following this overwhelming success, Nizar and Shayan are now touring the country and will also be coming to the Olympic Hall on 27 November on their "Die Deutsche Podcast Arena Tour 2024".
