The career of the then 16-year-old Juan Luis Londoño Arias from Medellin began in 2010 with the song ‘Farandulera’. The song became a long-running hit on local radio stations, and shortly afterwards Maluma (his stage name consists of the first letters of his mother Marlli, father Luis and sister Manuela) had his first record deal. His debut album ‘Magia’ achieved gold status in Colombia. He reached the top position in the US Billboard Latin charts with each of his three subsequent albums. At the age of 23, he was also the youngest artist of all time to reach number 1 and 2 in the Billboard Latin Airplay Charts at the same time: with the songs ‘Sin Contrato’ and ‘Chantaje’, the mega-hit duet with superstar Shakira. Maluma received a Latin Grammy Award for his album ‘F.A.M.E.’ in 2018.
The multi-faceted singer describes his style as urban pop, between reggaeton, mambo, merenque and soulful ballads. Sometimes romantic, sometimes raw: +PRETTY +DIRTY is therefore a fitting name for his tour, with which Maluma will be touring Europe in 2025 - and during which he will provide a rousing show with his live band and numerous dancers in the Olympic Hall on 27 March.
