It was 2004 when the first season of "Strictly Come Dancing" on the BBC sparked a veritable dance fever in the UK - and kicked off a decades-long success story. Two years later, the wave spilled over to Germany. At the premiere of "Let's Dance" in spring 2006, Hape Kerkeling and Nazan Eckes were in front of the camera as the presenters. Katarina Witt was also on the jury, and the overall winner after eight episodes was Wayne Carpendale.
With the protagonists known from the RTL format, "Let's Dance" then went on live tour for the first time in 2019 - and caused storms of enthusiasm in German halls and arenas with its spectacular stage production and the breathtaking dance performance of the professionals and celebrities. The show is now on the road again in autumn 2023. With the judges Motsi Mabuse, Joachim Llambi and Jorge González, with presenter Daniel Hartwich as well as numerous professionals and celebrities, it is all about passion and perfection, about great talent and many magical moments when the participants dance for the overall victory on 11 and 12 November in the Olympic Hall.
