Whether funk or hard rock, rhythm'n'blues, hip hop or progressive soul - Lenny Kravitz understands the crossover of the most diverse genres like almost no other artist. He began his music career in high school in the 1980s, and after his debut album ‘Let Love Rule’ (1989), he finally made his breakthrough in 1991 - with the longplayer ‘Mama Said’ and the singles ‘Always on the Run’, ‘Stand by My Woman’ and, above all, ‘It Ain't Over “Til It's Over”, which reached number two in the charts in the USA. Kravitz stormed to the top position in the UK in 1993 with his third album ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’, and did the same in Germany in 2011 with ‘Black and White America’. After ‘Raise Vibration’ (2018), the four-time Grammy winner took a break before making a furious return with ‘Blue Electric Light’ in 2024.
In their reviews, critics called the album the funkiest in the exceptional artist's career to date. Some saw songs such as the single ‘TK 421’ as a tribute to Prince, one of the formative figures in Lenny Kravitz's musical work. Fans can look forward to his new songs as well as the great old classics in the Olympic Hall on 7 March.
