Born in 1986, Stjepan Hauser first heard a cello on the radio as a young boy - and was so enthusiastic about the sound of the instrument that he took lessons at the age of eight. His breakthrough came when he founded the duo 2CELLOS in Zagreb with fellow student Luka Šulić. Their recording of Michael Jackson's classic ‘Smooth Criminal’ became a viral hit in 2011. The duo released six albums by 2021, and Hauser and Šulić toured the world, repeatedly performing with Elton John. They played in front of American presidents, the Pope and Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace - and once before a Champions League final.
After more than ten years, the 2CELLOS split up, and they also came to the Olympic Hall on their farewell tour. HAUSER then continued to enjoy great success on his own, with his album ‘Classic II’ reaching number 1 in the US classical charts in 2024. HAUSER is now returning to Munich - and continuing his fascinating crossover. Sometimes sensitively gentle, sometimes rousingly powerful, between classic ballad and rocking heavy metal, he will enchant his fans at a spectacular show in the Olympic Hall on 10 November 2025.
