The giants of punk rock return with an exclusive headline show at the Olympic Hall in Munich!
Billie Joe Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Mike Dirnt (bass) and Tré Cool (drums) are exceptional artists not only on account of their musical proficiency. Despite their success, they maintain a genuine down-to-earth attitude that is quite baffling. No starry allure, just punk rock pure and simple, with consistently brilliant melodies and clever lyrics. For almost three decades, Green Day has been one of the most exciting, powerful and successful rock bands in the USA.
With their third album "Dookie",back in 1994, they heralded a large-scale punk revival and pioneered the neo-punk era, paving the way for bands like The Offspring and Blink 182. They proved that the coexistence of powerful punk and pop is not necessarily contradictory.
The combative "Revolution Radio" marks the next phase of their artistic development. The album is a razor-sharp dissection of the distortions of our time. "Of course the world has lost its collective mind," says Billie Joe Armstrong. "Revolution Radio is a movement for lost souls to come together... dance together... sing together... and most of all, find each other. That's what the spirit of Green Day has been about since day one."
A spirit their fans can experience full blast at the band’s forthcoming concert at the Olympic Hall in Munich!
