Almost three years ago, the world elite of the climbing scene looked to Munich. In 2022, the European Championships brought the feeling back to Munich that many climbing enthusiasts had been missing since the last World Cups in the state capital.
With five large bouldering halls and just as many climbing halls, the climbing scene feels at home in Munich. And if you look carefully through the halls, you can always spot some of the German stars in training. So it's time to invite the national climbing family to Munich for a showdown for the German title!
On Friday, the athletes have to qualify for the next rounds in the flash format. The top 20 will progress to the semi-finals on Saturday. The aim is to score the most points on 4 to 6 boulders.
On Saturday morning, the best 20 athletes will start the next round for a place in the final. In the semi-final, the best six can qualify for the final in interval mode. The afternoon will then decide the German Champion 2025.
The location in the heart of the Olympic Park can hold 3000 spectators. In the centre is the competition wall. The Olympic Ice Sports Centre has already hosted table tennis world championships, Olympic boxing matches, the FC Bayern basketball team and much more. Now it is being remodelled one last time for the German Championships before it is reopened to the public with a new usage concept.
