Flashdance

Like the legendary film, the musical also tells the story of the young welder Alex Owens, who earns her money in a steelworks in Pittsburgh during the day and works as a dancer in a bar at night. Her big dream is to be accepted into a dance academy and pursue a career as a professional dancer - a touching story full of love and joie de vivre, with hopes and disappointments. It wasn't just the fashionable look that set the style for an entire decade, with the skin-tight dance leotards and the sweatshirts that casually slipped over the shoulders: the music also achieved cult status, the LP with top hits such as "Flashdance ... What a Feeling" and "Maniac" sold more than 20 million copies and secured itself a firm place in the pop culture of the Eighties. To this day, the album is one of the most successful soundtracks of all time. 

With its unforgettable songs and rousing dances, unmistakable 80s costumes and perfect choreography, "Flashdance - The Musical" thrilled audiences in Munich at the end of 2023. Now the emotional journey back in time to an unforgettable decade continues: on the four evenings from 5 to 8 November in the Small Olympic Hall. What a feeling.
