The success story began in 1987 with the first instalment of the "Final Fantasy" series - back then for the Nintendo 8-bit game console NES. Over the years, the role-playing games from Japanese video game producer Square Enix attracted an ever-growing fan base to their screens. In addition to the now 16 titles in the main series, there have been numerous spin-offs such as multiplayer online games, three anime productions and three animated films. The brand has sold more than 180 million units worldwide to date.
Based on Final Fantasy VII (1997), a remake version was first released in 2020 and now the adventure "Final Fantasy VII Rebirth" in 2024, in which the hero named Cloud flees the dystopian city of Midgar with his friends and searches for the vengeful swordsman Sephiroth in overwhelming landscapes. The high-resolution video sequences of the fantasy worlds now appear even more impressive and vivid than at home on the Playstation during the World Tour in the Olympic Hall. Accompanied by a choir, an orchestra of more than 100 musicians will perform the original music by composers Nobuo Uematsu, Mitsuto Suzuki and Masashi Hamauzu live. A fantastic evening full of epic music and magnificent visual effects.
