Lobrecht gained his first stage experience at poetry slams in 2008. He became known nationwide through appearances on TV shows such as ‘Comedy Champions 2016’ and the programme ‘Nuhr ab 18’. In September 2017, Lobrecht released the first episode of the weekly podcast ‘Gemischtes Hack’ together with Tommi Schmitt. The format, which has won numerous awards, is now one of the most successful comedy programmes with more than one million listeners per week.
Lobrecht first caused a sensation as an author with his debut book ‘10 Minuten? Dit sind ja 20 Mark!’ in collaboration with poetry slammer Malte Rosskopf caused a furore. His second work, ‘Sonne und Beton’ (Sun and Concrete), with autobiographical stories from his childhood in Neukölln, then served as the basis for the award-winning film of the same name. Lobrecht's solo stage programmes are now also attracting international attention. The New York Times once wrote in a portrait of him: ‘In a country not known for outlandish stand-up comedy, Lobrecht succeeds by ignoring the rules.’ Fans can now see this for themselves once again: at the two evenings of his ‘Sell Out’ show in the Olympic Hall.
