Da Capo Udo Jürgens

The original show with the Pepe Lienhard Orchestra

Olympic Hall

In November 2014, he came to the Olympic Hall once again - for a moving concert as part of his ‘Mitten im Leben’ tour, featuring the greatest hits of his career. It was one of the last performances by Udo Jürgens, who died a few weeks later at the age of 80. Now a major tribute tour is starting in honour of the music legend: On 15 April 2025, it's ‘Da Capo Udo Jürgens’ in the Olympic Hall.

All his great successes will be heard once again: including ‘Aber bitte mit Sahne’ and ‘Mit 66 Jahren’, ‘Griechischer Wein’ and ‘Ich war noch niemals in New York’. The programme will of course also include the new song ‘Als ich fortging’, which was discovered in his estate and only released in September 2024.

The songs will be performed by Pepe Lienhard and the same orchestra that accompanied Udo Jürgens for almost four decades up to and including his last tour in 2014. ‘Udo was such an important part of my life - I owe him a lot,’ said bandleader Lienhard at the start of the tour. ‘We all miss him very much and are looking forward to going on tour with Udo once again.’ The evening will be a moving journey through the life's work of the unique entertainer, a musical best of the singer and songwriter. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, the audience will not only experience a spectacular live show acoustically, but also visually: with digitally edited original recordings of his last concerts, accompanied live on stage by the big band. ‘Da Capo Udo Jürgens’, a final homage to the life and work of an unforgotten exceptional artist.
