Waltzes and soundtracks, hits and evergreens, opera arias and musical hits: on 22 January 2025, the audience can once again look forward to a colourful programme of romantic, festive and rousing melodies from a wide variety of genres at the start of André Rieu's next tour of Germany in the Olympic Hall - plus an opulent stage backdrop and spectacular lighting effects.Of course, the Johann Strauss Orchestra, with which André Rieu has been touring since 1987 and which initially consisted of twelve musicians, will once again be part of the programme.Today there are 60, and on large stages even 75 artists.

Over the decades of his career, the violin virtuoso has succeeded more than almost any other musician in taking the heaviness and seriousness out of classical music. Instead, his performances are a tribute to life - and an appeal to break down categories and boundaries and to be open. Not just in music. His big tour in 2025 will once again be all about feelings, about the love and joy of life. It is telling that Rieu once answered the question of how he chooses the programme for his tours: "Quite simply. Only with the heart."
