Even though he grew up in the far north in Bad Oldesloe in Schleswig-Holstein, gigs in Munich are always a home game for the songwriter. After graduating from high school, Weiss came here, taught himself to play the guitar and worked his way up to branch manager in a restaurant. He gave up his permanent job in the restaurant business when his first record deal beckoned. A risky decision at the time, but in the end it was the only right one.
After a first big appearance on "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" in 2013, the really big breakthrough came in 2017 - with his first studio album "Irgendwas gegen die Stille", which climbed to No. 3 in the album charts. The two singles "Musik sein" and "Feuerwerk" sold more than 400,000 copies each. Things continued to look up after that, with the second album "Irgendwie anders" (2019) reaching No. 2 in the charts, and "Vielleicht irgendwann" then conquering No. 1 in 2021.
Shortly before the end of 2022, Weiss released "Auf den Grund", the first track from his fourth album "Irgendwo ankommen". On his tour for this, Wincent Weiss will definitely also arrive at the Olympic Hall. On 11 June 2023, it will definitely be a home game again.
