The Schlager Night of the Year has long enjoyed cult status. The festival made its debut in 1998 as a Schlager star parade with a colourful line-up on Sunday afternoons - and soon became the most atmospheric Schlager party in Germany as a mega-event lasting several hours on Saturday evenings. Over the course of more than two and a half decades, the who's who of the industry was at the start: Jürgen Drews and Costa Cordalis, Marianne Rosenberg and Andrea Berg, Heino and Roland Kaiser - and many more. The festival was the springboard to a great career for many of today's well-known artists. Andreas Gabalier, DJ Ötzi and Helene Fischer made their first major appearances here.
In April 2024, the pop night once again got the audience in the Olympic Hall dancing, singing and celebrating. Michael Holm and Lucas Cordalis celebrated their Munich Schlagernacht premiere, and LOONA, who once made her breakthrough with her hit "Bailando", also took part for the first time. And the comeback of Vanessa Mai & Wolkenfrei was one of the many highlights of another rousing night of pop music. The new edition will now follow on 22 March 2025 - at Germany's most legendary best-of pop party.
