The Rolling Stones SIXTY

40/60 Double Anniversary in Munich

Olympic Stadium

The Stones are rolling on and will be back where they belong this summer: In Europe, where they will present their brand-new "SIXTY" tour production in full stadiums and stop directly in Munich's Olympic Stadium on Whitsunday, June 5, 2022. In Munich, the band will then even be able to celebrate another anniversary at the same time: almost exactly 40 years ago, on June 10 and 11, 1982, the Rolling Stones gave the very first two open-air concerts in the history of the Olympic Stadium!

With "SIXTY", Mick Jagger, Keith Richard and Ronnie Wood are following up the huge success of the critically and fan-acclaimed "No Filter" tour, which the Stones will in the USA with sold-out stadium shows. The European leg of the "No Filter" tour had begun on September 9, 2017, with an energetic kick-off concert in front of 82,000 fans in Hamburg, where the Stones impressively proved why they are undisputedly the best-known and biggest rock band in the world. A total of five German cities - Hamburg, Munich, Düsseldorf, Berlin and Stuttgart - were on the "No Filter" tour schedule in 2017 and 2018, with a total of around 300,000 enthusiastic fans attending.

As is to be expected for the band's 60th anniversary, the Stones will treat their fans on the "SIXTY" tour to a setlist that will be packed with classics like "Gimme Shelter," "Paint It Black," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Tumbling Dice," "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction," "Start Me Up" and many more. But it wouldn't be a real Rolling Stones concert if there weren't some musical surprises on every show night. So this time, too, a selection of unexpected titles from the band's almost inexhaustible song arsenal will find their place on the setlist. And as always with the Stones, there will be a new, gigantic tour production, including a huge stage, spectacular lighting technology and a revolutionary video design - all specially developed for the long-awaited "SIXTY" tour and befitting an appropriate anniversary. Also brand new is the Rolling Stones tongue for the "SIXTY" tour, designed by award-winning British designer Mark Norton. On stage, The Rolling Stones will continue to be joined by Steve Jordan (drums) as well as Chuck Leavell (keyboards), Darryl Jones (bass), Tim Ries & Karl Denson (horns), Matt Clifford (keyboards) and vocalists Bernard Fowler and Sasha Allen.

Tickets for the Rolling Stones' concerts in Munich on June 5, 2022, will be available as part of an exclusive presale starting Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 12 pm. via eventim.de. The regular presale at the known ticket agencies starts on Friday, March 18, 2022, 12 pm.
