Tate McRae started songwriting at an early age. At the age of seven, she launched her own YouTube channel, on which she recorded cover songs by John Lennon and Bruno Mars, among others. Her international breakthrough came in 2020 with ‘You Broke Me First’. Since its release, the song has reached around 2.5 billion streams. Her debut album ‘I Used To Think I Could Fly’, released in 2022, reached number one on Spotify's Global Top Albums Debut Chart and placed in the top ten in several countries. The portal grammy.com wrote about the album: ‘Every track shows that McRae is ready to become one of the most authentic and genuine superstars of her generation.’
The Calgary-born singer also proved this in 2023 with her second album ‘Think Later’. The single release ‘Greedy’ became her biggest success to date, reaching number 2 in Germany and number 3 in the UK and the USA. Another highlight of her career was her performance at the NHL All-Star Game in Toronto in February 2024. With her third album ‘So Close To What’, Tate McRae is going on her ‘Miss Possessive Tour’ through America and Europe in 2025 - and will also be coming to the Olympic Hall on 11 June 2025.
