It all began three decades ago. In December 1994, the electronics group Sony released its first Playstation, which sold more than 100 million units worldwide. The successor model, Playstation 2, topped this mark with more than 155 million units. This makes it the best-selling games console of all time. The three subsequent versions up to the current Playstation 5 also continued the success story.
Now ‘Playstation - The Concert’ is going on a world tour with a ground-breaking live show. The show kicks off in Dublin in April 2025 and will then tour more than 200 cities for two years. On 09 March 2026, a top orchestra will use classical and modern instruments to interpret the sound of games such as ‘God of War’, ‘The Last of Us’, ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, ‘Horizon’ and many more live in the Olympic Hall. The music by star composers such as Gustavo Sanaolalla, Joris De Man, Ilan Eshkeri and Bear McCreary will reach a dimension of sound never heard before. In addition, a gigantic LED wall shows the best scenes from the respective games. ‘Playstation - The Concert": visually and acoustically a completely new immersive experience for all gaming enthusiasts.
