As part of the legendary musical dynasty, Kelly learnt many instruments such as guitar, bass and piano at an early age. At 15, he wrote the song ‘An Angel’ and helped the Kelly Family achieve their commercial breakthrough in 1994. Shortly after his debut album ‘In Exile’, he retired to the same place in 2004, lived in a French monastery for several years and studied theology and philosophy. From 2010, he devoted himself to music again, releasing further solo albums, appearing on TV programmes such as ‘Sing meinen Song’ and ‘The Voice of Germany’ and organising numerous charity events. In 2018, Kelly launched his #PeaceBell project to mark the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, in which he had several peace bells cast from old war and weapons scrap as a sign against violence and radicalisation.
On his 2021 album B.O.A.T.S. (short for: Based on a True Story), he turned his own experiences and autobiographical anecdotes into powerful songs. On his subsequent tour, the singer thrilled more than half a million fans with his vocal range of four octaves. Now it's time for a new tour, as always with many touching songs and moments from an eventful life.
