Lord of the Dance

Live-Tour 2026

Olympic Hall

It is not only the most successful dance production of all time - with his show, Michael Flatley also helped Celtic music and traditional Irish dance to achieve world fame. To celebrate its 30th anniversary, ‘Lord of the Dance’ is now going on tour again and will also be coming to the Olympic Hall on 22 May 2026. As always with the story of the fight of good against evil. And with more than 150,000 clacking taps.

The success story began in Chicago, where Michael Flatley was born. Thanks to the family's Irish roots, the young Michael began taking Irish Step Dance lessons at an early age. In the following years, he won numerous competitions, including the ‘All-World Irish Dance Championship’. After guest appearances accompanying well-known folk bands, he finally made his breakthrough in 1994 with his now legendary performance in the half-time show of the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin.

With the premiere of Flatley's show ‘Lord of the Dance’ two years later at the Point Theatre in Dublin, his triumphal march around the world began. This was followed in 1997 by 13 consecutive sold-out evenings in New York's Radio City Hall, and in 1998 by 21 sold-out shows in London's Wembley Arena. A record that remains unbroken to this day. Many more records were set over the decades that followed, with the dance spectacle captivating well over 60 million fans. For its 30th anniversary, ‘Lord of the Dance’ returns to the Olympic Hall with 40 of the world's best Irish step dancers - with elaborate costumes and breathtaking choreography, with vigour and energy, with magic and sensuality.
