He belongs to the small circle of musicians who can call themselves EGOT award winners - and have therefore won each of the four most important awards in the US entertainment industry at least once: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut album ‘Get Lifted’, pop, soul and R&B star John Legend goes on tour - and plays the Olympic Hall for his exclusive concert in Germany.

Growing up in a musical family in Springfield/Ohio, John Legend sang in a gospel choir from a young age. During his studies in Philadelphia, he made his first contacts in the local music scene. On 28 December 2004, his 26th birthday, he released his first album ‘Get Lifted’ - and not only did it reach number 4 in the US Billboard charts: the album was awarded a Grammy in 2006, as was his single ‘Ordinary People’. He received another award for ‘Best New Artist’ and has won four more Grammys to date.

John Legend also celebrated great success with his next albums such as ‘Once Again’, ‘Evolver’ and ‘Love in the Future’. His biggest hit was ‘All of Me’ in 2013, with which he reached number 1 in the American singles charts for the first time. Another career highlight: he won an Oscar in 2015 with ‘Glory’ from the historical drama ‘Selma’. As a producer, he also secured a Tony in 2017 and an Emmy in 2018. On his tour through Europe and the USA, John Legend will also perform his premiere opus ‘Get Lifted’ in full length at his only German concert in the Olympic Hall alongside the many great hits of his career.
