The singer, who was born in Durban, South Africa, came to Germany in the mid-1960s. He landed his first hit in 1969 with a cover version of the Beatles classic ‘Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da’, before continuing his upward trajectory in the following years with numerous original compositions. Until recently, he also celebrated great success with his latest new productions, with all of his past seven studio albums placing in the top ten. With ‘Let's Do It Again’, he once again reached number two in the charts in 2023.
More than four decades after his first appearance in November 1982, Howard Carpendale is now returning to the Olympic Hall one last time. On his ‘Let's Do It Again, Again’ tour, shortly after his 80th birthday, he will bid farewell to the stage and his fans with the greatest hits of his career. The entertainer will be accompanied by a 15-piece band, who will take the audience on a musical journey through six decades. ‘What could be better for an artist than to relive everything that has been my life for over 60 years with these long-standing friends on stage,’ says Carpendale. Hello again, Howard - and goodbye.
