The 2025 world tour is GHOST's first tour since RE-IMPERATOUR 2023, which concluded in North America with two sold-out shows at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. These performances were captured in the band's record-breaking debut film ‘RITE HERE RITE NOW’, which is now available to pre-order on DVD and stream or purchase via VEEPS, iTunes and Amazon.
With nearly 10 billion streams and a GRAMMY in their pocket, Swedish band GHOST have been wowing fans worldwide and drawing ever-larger crowds with their euphoric shows. Their latest tour, the triumphant RE-IMPERATOUR U.S.A. 2023, took them to over two dozen cities in North America and concluded with two nights at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. In March 2022, the LOS ANGELES TIMES reported that GHOST ‘conquered metal and the charts’ when their fifth album ‘IMPERA’ debuted at #1 on the US album charts and reached #2 on the BILLBOARD 200 and #1 in Sweden, Germany and Finland, as well as reaching the Top 5 in other countries. The album includes the song ‘Spillways’, which the NEW YORK TIMES described as a ‘masterfully composed rock song’ and which was later reinterpreted with Joe Elliott from Def Leppard, as well as the GRAMMY-nominated ‘Call Me Little Sunshine’, which earned GHOST 5th place on active rock radio stations. ‘IMPERA’ prompted ROLLING STONE to comment: ’GHOST predicted the pandemic, now the metal band is predicting the fall of empires.’ The album picks up on current, contemporary themes and presents them in a dark, melodic way - unmistakably GHOST.
In 2022, GHOST reached the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time with the RIAA platinum-certified song ‘Mary on a Cross’. In addition, ‘IMPERA’ was voted Favourite Rock Album at the American Music Awards and Best Rock Album of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. GHOST also released ‘PHANTOMIME’, an EP with five cover songs, including a version of Iron Maiden's ‘Phantom of the Opera’, which earned the band their fifth GRAMMY nomination.
Most recently, GHOST ventured onto the big screen with the premiere of their feature film ‘RITE HERE RITE NOW’ in June 2024, about which the LOS ANGELES TIMES praised: ‘One of the best live bands - and now they have the film to prove it.’ The film quickly became the most successful hard rock cinema event in North America and spawned a chart-topping soundtrack album.
