The band formed in Chicago in 1994 under the name ‘Brawl’, and singer David Draiman was found via a newspaper advert in 1996. After changing their name to Disturbed, the quartet released their debut album ‘The Sickness’ in March 2000. Singles such as ‘Stupify’ and ‘Voices’ finally helped the band achieve their breakthrough. Billboard magazine called the ten-million-seller ‘Down With The Sickness’ the ‘epitome of a Disturbed song, combining the band's seething temperament with their now famous tribal beat and gurgling guitars in three and a half minutes of alt-metal chaos.’
Draiman and his comrades-in-arms remained on the road to success, with their five subsequent albums all reaching number one in the US charts. ‘Immortalized’ (2015) and “Evolution” (2018) reached number 2 in Germany. Following the release of a new edition of “The Sickness” garnished with B-sides, demos and unreleased songs, Disturbed will go on tour in autumn 2025 to celebrate their 25th anniversary in style. In the first set, they will play every song from their debut album, followed by the biggest hits from the rest of their career - including the new single ‘I Will Not Break’, which was released in February.
