Cancelled International DRV Junior Regatta

The first International DRV Junior Regatta will be held at the Olympic Regatta Course in Munich, at which 15 – 16-year-old B-juniors will compete in the annual 1,500 m race. A-juniors between the ages of 17 and 18 years will compete on the 2,000-metre course. Various types of boats (from one to eight) are included in the program, with around 1,000 athletes from fifteen nations expected to take part. Starting at 8.00 am each day, the competition ends on Saturday at 5.30 pm and at 4 pm on Sunday. Award ceremonies will take place concurrently. Spectators will have an excellent view of the regatta course and the racing action from the 250 m long covered grandstand, with a running commentary by qualified commentators. For those interested, rowing equipment is on show at the Exhibitor’s Park. And for those suffering from hunger-pangs and dry throats from too much cheering, a wide range of quality food and refreshments will be served near the grandstand.
