With his album ‘The Sound of Heaven’, released in 2024, Rieu once again succeeded in creating a rousing work across all genres. From Georg Friedrich Händel to Andrew Lloyd Webber, from Giacomo Puccini to Abba, from Charles Gounod to John Williams, with songs from musicals such as The Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music and West Side Story as well as the soundtrack to Star Wars and Titanic.
And so, even after selling more than 40 million albums and performing 80 concerts a year, the septuagenarian is far from thinking of retiring. After his acclaimed tour of Germany in 2025, the master violinist is once again hitting the road with spectacular live shows featuring colourful stage decorations, elaborate costumes and impressive lighting effects. ‘Germany is like a second home to me,’ said André Rieu when announcing his new tour. "The passion and enthusiasm of the audience are simply unique. I can hardly wait to be on stage again and touch people's hearts." Rieu will take to the stage of the Olympic Hall with his magnificent Johann Strauss Orchestra and outstanding soloists on 13 March 2026.
