During ten days, Andalusia will be on the spotlight at one of the most characteristic locations in Munich, the Coubertain Square of Olympia Park, across the Olympiastadion. Here, the Department of Tourism, Commerce and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía will stage the “Andalusian Week in Munich” from June 22 to July 1, a promotional campaign aimed at presenting the diverse tourist offering of the Andalusian Community and consolidating the German market as the second issuer of foreign tourists to Andalusia.
The Andalusian Week, held this year in Munich, arrives in Germany for the first time, after having visited Paris last year, is designed to become a meeting place for tourists and citizens of Munich so that they can have a chance to know the culture, traditions, the avant-garde, the light and the colour of Andalusia, and to participate in the numerous events and activities to be held during these ten days.
To this end, the Coubertin Square of the Olympia Park will become a typical Andalusian fairground. A total of six stalls by the lakeside decorated in the Andalusian style will offer visitors the possibility of accessing all the information on the tourism offering, from sun and beck holidays to gastronomy, and including nature, cultural tourism, health and beauty, golf, active tourism or flamenco.
Besides these thematic exhibitions, a total of eight different spaces will be created in the stalls, recreating the typical Andalusian patios, so that visitors can have a firsthand impression of the real Andalusia, where the eight provinces of the region will be represented (Cordoba, Granada, Seville, Malaga, Cadiz, Jaen, Huelva and Almeria), with detailed information on their respective offerings.
Dance and music will have a distinguished presence in this event. For this, a central stage will be set up, to present a number of dance and music performances during the“Andalusian Fair”. There will also be interactive flamenco and sevillanas lessons; gastronomy will also be present in a number of presentations and tastings of typical Andalusian products.
